We are still analyzing the results of the call, but all indications suggest that this first call has been a clear success. This funding process for forest owners organizations received a total of 55 applications in just two months, with associations from 16 European Union countries. 🎯💸
The high level of interest and engagement shown by associations in this call demonstrates the significant outreach and geographical coverage achieved by the SMURF project, despite its recent launch. This suggests the strong visibility of the SMURF project as well as a notable commitment from European forest owner organizations toward the sustainable management of small forest holdings.
Results of this Call will be published by December 20th, once the evaluation process is completed.
A second Call will be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
